INVITATION: NASA and the USGS welcome the community to a multi-agency effort to explore sensors, enabling technologies and platforms that will accelerate our ability to image the subsurface of planetary bodies, in pursuit of critical resource maps and new scientific understanding. These advancements, collectively supported by industry and international partners, will help build a new scientific understanding of off world and terrestrial resources and how those resources can support upcoming NASA missions and a new space economy.
OPPORTUNITY: This workshop will bring together a diverse group of experts from national and international communities, leveraging terrestrial mineral resource technologies and partnerships to reduce risk and lower barriers. Speakers will present existing efforts focused on the broad challenge of In Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU), define narrower targets for subsurface exploration, and present the state of knowledge about subsurface resources off world. Attendees will use this context to help refine observation and capability gaps in sufficient detail that we can identify specific technologies or technology improvements needed to close them.

It was great to see some many of our government, academia and commercial peers at this event. It was a content and discussion rich event.
Great to see how progress was being made on the hangers, to see the airplane musuem and the Moon all at the same time!
